President Beth Heile is putting a big focus on Interact Clubs this year to help meet her goals of more club service and increased public image. Ted Carothers and other members have built a perfect model at Hallyburton Academy over the last few years that will be followed at the other schools. Kristina, Beth and Ted met with the new school principals last week to start ironing out the details.
Lead by Rotarians, to take the burden off the teachers, we will offer the following:
Leadership Development – Monthly meetings will include professionals from the community sharing about their careers and teaching leadership skills.
Community Service – Opportunities for a chance to give back and broaden one’s outlook.
At some of the schools, we will sponsor a Citizenship Award based on the Rotary Four Way test. Winners will receive a certificate at a Tuesday Rotary lunch.
