Our club has been contacted by Billi Black to help fund an ambulance for New Hope Hospital in Haiti. This hospital is solar powered and built entirely on donations. As p[art of a Rotary Global Grant, $65,000 is needed. Rotary Club Cap Haitien is the local club.
Currently, patients in crisis get to the hospital on motorcycle – with a driver and a caregiver on the cycle or they and their caregiver are put into the back of a pickup truck.
Current donors:
Rotary Club of Sylva – $3,000
Rotary Club of Franklin Daybreak $4100
Can we help with $500-$2000?
International Chairman Paul Mears will update us at the September Board Meeting.
