Rotary members working this evening to get ready for the Annual Auction – an evening of food, fellowship, and silent/live auctions.
Proceeds go to scholarships for high school students, books for elementary school students in the summer reading program, Hallyburton Academy art & music program, and more!

Community Service Chair Kevin Frederick reported Rotarians worked at the community garden on Saturday planting potatoes. Our next project will be in May – raising money to purchase books for the Summer Reading Program.
Valdese Parks and Rec Director Doug Knight spoke about the need for community support when applying for the PARTF grant to purchase the 300 acres on Lake Rhodhiss for a passive park. He asked for a letter of support from the club to submit with the grant application. The last time Doug presented to the club, he asked for a letter of support for the Downtown Park. So, he gave an update on that project that will be completed at the end of June.
